What Stakkr collects, why, and how to get it back or delete it. Last updated September 2026.
The short version
Stakkr is a set of calculators and a personal dashboard for working out whether flexible income could replace your salary. You can use every calculator without giving us anything — the figures you type stay in your own browser. The only time we hold data about you is if you save a result to a dashboard, which needs an email address so we can sign you in. We don’t run analytics or advertising, we don’t sell or share your data, and you can delete everything yourself at any time.
Who we are
“Stakkr”, “we” and “us” refers to the operator of this website. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights below, email hello@stakkr.co.uk.
Using the calculators without an account
The Real Hourly Wage, Stackable Income, Replace My Hours and Your Best Hours tools run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter, and the results, are saved to your device’s local storage so the tool remembers them next time. That data never leaves your browser and we can’t see it. Clearing your browser data, or using each tool’s “Start over” link, removes it.
Your email address
If you choose to save a result to a dashboard, we ask for your email address and create an account for you on the spot — there is no sign-up form and no password. To sign you in, we email you a one-time link:
- The link contains a single-use code that is valid for about 15 minutes. We only store a one-way hash of that code, not the code itself, and it is deleted the moment it’s used or expires.
- Your email address is stored so we can recognise you on future visits and send you future sign-in links. That’s the only thing we use it for.
- We never put your financial figures in an email, and we will never add you to a mailing list or send you marketing.
The sign-in emails are delivered through a third-party email provider (for example Postmark or Amazon SES). They process your email address only to deliver that one message on our behalf.
What you save on the dashboard
When you save something to a dashboard, we store what you chose to save so we can show you your own progress over time:
- The income streams you name, and whether you’ve marked each one taxable or tax-free.
- Each weekly check-in: the amount you record for each stream, the hours you log, and — if you enter it — a day-job take-home figure.
- Your target: either a figure carried over from one of the calculators, or a number you type in yourself.
We don’t collect anything else — no name, no address, no bank details, no location, no device fingerprinting.
Legal basis
We process your email address and the figures you save on the basis of your consent, given when you choose to save a result. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting your account (below), which erases everything.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data until you delete it. There is no automatic expiry. One-time sign-in codes are the exception — those last minutes, not longer.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Delete everything. The “Delete my account & data” option on the dashboard permanently removes your account, every stream, every check-in and your target. It can’t be undone.
- Get a copy of your data, or have it erased, by emailing hello@stakkr.co.uk. Both are also available through WordPress’s built-in personal-data export and erasure tools.
- Ask us to correct anything, or complain to your data protection regulator (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
Who we share it with
Nobody, beyond the email provider that delivers your sign-in links. We don’t sell data, we don’t share it with advertisers, and there are no third-party trackers on this site.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in after you click a sign-in link, and a short-lived cookie to check that your browser accepts cookies at all. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The calculators use your browser’s local storage (not cookies) to remember your figures.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above. Material changes that affect data you’ve already saved will be flagged to you on the dashboard.
